- Available only on twin engines with cylinders that are 50cc in displacement or larger.
- Decompression valves are strongly reccomended for applications where an electric starter is used. The valves eliminate the possiblity of a hydro-lock condition which can damage the engine when an electric starter is used while the motor is flooded.
- Valves are opened before starting to reduce cylinder compression and enable easier starting of larger engines. Valves automatically close once the motor has been started.
- The valves opened again after the engine stoped. It is possible to restart the engine during flight (onboard starter required).
