Classic Serie
- Standard Version in Aluminum Finish
- 10:1 Compression Ratio
Competition Serie ( CS )
- Hand selected parts for precise tolerance match
- Enlarged transfer ports
- Crankcase transfer ports enlarged
- more horsepower than stock
- Enlarged exhaust ports
- Balanced compression between cylinders on multi-cylinder motors
- 11:1 Compression Ratio
- The Competition Series finish is a brilliant Copper Flame Metallic color
Twin spark ( TS )
- 2 spark plugs per cylinder convinces with a low idle and softer running characteristic.
- All boxer engines with this set up have a better reliability. In case 1 ignition will fail the 2nd. ignition - which operates autonomously – allows the engine to run further with reduced RPM ( 200 – 300).
Reverse Rotation or "Pusher Configuration"
- Any 3W motor can be reversed
- Uses traditional "tractor" propellers mounted backwards
- Larger selection of propellers to choose from
- Simple to change from "tractor" rotation to "pusher" rotation
Rear Output Shaft (ROS)
- Available on many motors without rear induction
- Keyed and tapered shaft with center bolt
- Simple location for on-board electric starter-generators
- Standard feature on 3W-342iB2 & 684iB4
Decompression valves or compression release
- Available on twin engines with cylinders that are 50cc in displacement or larger
- Valves are opened before starting to reduce cylinder compression and enable easier starting of larger engines. Valves automatically close once the motor has been started.
- Decompression valves are strongly reccomended for applications where an electric starter is used. The valves eliminate the possiblity of a hydro-lock condition which can damage the engine when an electric starter is used while the motor is flooded.
Automatic decompression valve or compression release
- Available only on twin engines with cylinders that are 50cc in displacement or larger.
- Decompression valves are strongly reccomended for applications where an electric starter is used. The valves eliminate the possiblity of a hydro-lock condition which can damage the engine when an electric starter is used while the motor is flooded.
- Valves are opened before starting to reduce cylinder compression and enable easier starting of larger engines. Valves automatically close once the motor has been started.
- The valves opened again after the engine stoped. It is possible to restart the engine during flight (onboard starter required).
